Abstract
WhatsApp messaging has now become one of the main forms of virtual communication, as it allows people to establish interpersonal or group relationships and even convey ideas and feelings through a new language, that of “emoticons.” What for most people is a great tool for daily communication can become a torment for doctors, as it is increasingly used by patients to consult at any time without having to make an appointment, or to avoid going to the doctor's office to avoid paying the fees for a regular consultation.
